Now in its 14th year, the Boot Camp gathers science writers for a free, daylong immersion in science and medicine. You'll hear from Johns Hopkins Medicine scientists and physicians as they present a variety of talks on research and clinical advancements in women's health. We are excited to be back in person at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.! The event will take place June 6th, 2022 from 9am - 5pm. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues we are dedicated to keeping our speakers and attendees safe, while still providing an opportunity for journalists and science writers to learn about the latest advances in research and clinical care. To that end, at this year’s event, we will be capping in-person attendance. To attend in person, register by May 16. Based on previous attendance, most of our spots will be given to journalists and freelancers, but we have some spots available for PIOs and student writers whose focus is on women's health. If you are unable to attend in person, or miss the in-person registration cutoff, and would like to receive first access to the talks and expert interviews immediately following the event, please email writersbootcamp@jhmi.edu.
