Or do you just think you know Tableau? Experts and novices alike are invited to learn all about the free data visualization software from Science’s interactive graphics developer, Jia You, at our October HOW. Bring nothing but your laptops and your braintops, and Jia You (proud mother of stunning interactives like eggs and elemental haiku) will walk you through the steps of creating visually superior graphics, from understanding basic design principles, to choosing your dataset, to cleaning your dataset, to processing it with Tableau. All you will need is a laptop and a free Tableau account.

When: Tuesday, October 246 – 8 p.m.

Where: AAAS/Science, 1200 New York Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20005
