DCSWA members will take an hour-long tour of Harper Macaw — a state-of-the-art chocolate factory in DC.
Amanda Greene, the production manager, who has a food science background, will discuss rainforest conservation, the science of making chocolate and focus on the confections they’re creating for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
There will be a chocolate tasting at the end of the hourlong tour.
Space is limited to 24 spots. A $5 security deposit will be required to reduce the number of drop outs. If you attend, the $5 will be returned to you. Thank you for your understanding.
